State offices buildings at Shawnee Co. To close Wednesday because of the weather – KCTV 5

Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) – Kansas Governor Laura Kelly orders state offices to be closed Wednesday, February 12, due to adverse weather.

According to the government’s press release, Kelly, the declaration will enter into force on Tuesday, February 11, from 23:59 to Wednesday, February 12, from 11:59 pm.

“In anticipation of a winter storm affecting state operations, we are closing the buildings of state offices in Shawney County on Wednesday,” said the government Kelly. “As I have done in the past, I urge all Kansani to exercise increased driving caution and take action to make sure that their families are prepared for potentially dangerous winter turbulent conditions by making an emergency plan and a home emergency set.”

This declaration applies to all insignificant civil servants in the executive agencies under the jurisdiction of the governor who work in Shawnee Co., appointing authorities in offices located outside Shawnee Co., have the opportunity to announce adverse time for these cities.

Governor Kelly said that during the period of adverse weather, the main employees are obliged to report to work as usual. The benefits meeting the requirements, insignificant employees, must record an unfavorable time for leave during the period of adverse time. Remote work is not required.
