Santa Fe, NM – a former assistant director and current urban adviser claims that the head of Santa Fu public schools sexually harassed and avenge her.
Amanda Chavez claims that Hillary Chief Larry Chavez sexually sends her explicit text messages and avenges her when she has not taken him on his progress.
She was an assistant director at Santa Fe High School, but resigned last week. Chavez filed a complaint with the Santa Fe School Board in December and plans to judge.
“He began this model of sending her to these sexually harassing texts. She declined his sexual progress, then the school neighborhood began to avenge her. She would not get job tasks she wanted. It was clear to her that she had no future there, “said John Day, a Chavez lawyer.
Chavez’s lawyer says he is waiting for the human rights bureau to give them the green light to bring this case.
In a statement to our partners at Santa Fe New Mexican, a spokesman for the area said: “SFPS is in the process of reviewing these questions … but will not comment on the problems of staff.”
