Stakeholders in healthcare discuss the proposed changes to the State Code – the public broadcast in West Virginia

In this episode of The legislature todayHealth reporter Emily Rice talks with Jim Kaufman, President and CEO of the Hospital of the Hospital in West Virginia and Jessica Dobrinski, Head of Employee and Expert in Numerous Policy in the Cardinal Institute of Western Virginia, on the lawmakers of the changes that are proposed of the State Code of the State Code this session.

Also, on Wednesday, a lot of viewed bills are laid on the Senate vaccine release on Wednesday. Legislators have told WVPB that the bill is unlikely to be voted until Friday.

Also from the Senate, the legislation of West Virginia in 2023 prohibits the gender care for transgender minors, with narrow exceptions to hormone therapy. Now the more conservative senate is transferred with these exceptions. A bill sponsored by Senator Chris Rose, R-Monongalia, will ban hormone therapy for new and existing patients under 18 years of age. Breana Hennie brings us this story.

The House Health and Human Services Committee spent more than three hours on Tuesday night, discussing two food sales bills in the country. Two hours of debate were focused around the HB 2354, which will add seven food dyes to the list of prohibited food changes.

Finally, governor Patrick Morrisi said the state was faced with a shortage of $ 400 million. But many in the legislature are not so sure. Kaellan Bailey looked at him for us.
