Stage Left Announces New Season, Glendale First – Daily Independent

Independent news outlet

West Valley community theater Stage Left Productions will celebrate not only its 10th anniversary when its new season opens in January, but also its new home in Glendale.

An important season will open on Friday, January 10, when Stage Left brings to life “Grand Horizons”, a story that describes how, 50 years after her marriage to Bill, Nancy wants a divorce. While her husband doesn’t seem troubled by the decision, her two grown sons are shaken to the core, forced to reexamine everything they thought they knew about their parents’ outwardly happy lives.

The show runs until February 2.

New Stage Left is located at 5930 W. Greenway Road, Suite 1A, in Glendale. Before that, the theater spent nine years in “Surprise”.

“When we went to discuss renewing our current lease, the price was too high for us,” said Stage Left artistic director Cody Dull, who will also direct “Grand Horizons.” “It would be beyond what we could afford. I am a resident of Glendale and have been for 10 years. I like the location.”

The new venue will have a theater with 60-65 seats.

The upcoming season at Stage Left is going to be a busy one.

Following “Grand Horizons,” the 2025 lineup will include “The Cottage” (Feb. 21-March 16); “Armistice” (April 4-27); “The Almost Completely True Story of Hansel and Gretel” (May 1-24); “The Outsiders” (June 5-14); “The Miss Nestinar Contest” (July 11 – August 3); “George Washington Ate My Homework” (Sept. 4-13); “The Rocky Horror Show” (October 10-31); “Honk Jr.” (Nov. 13-22); “A Seussified Christmas Carol” (Nov. 29-Dec. 20); and “Who’s Holiday” (Dec. 3-21).
