Spartans’ efforts do not reach, losing from Chesapeake 59-46 – Woub

Waverly, Ohio (Woub) – Alexander’s return efforts only fall after the loss of Chesapik 59-46.

Alexander ended his regular season with an exciting victory against River Valley. Their opponent in the first round was Chesapeake Panthers’ No. 3-Sear. The Panthers finished second in the OVC, losing only to the Fairland Dragons conference champion.

The Ctile’s played loudly from the gate. They kept the lead 16-4 after the first quarter, applying a press that forced the turnover. Madox Kazi led seven points for the first quarter, while teammate Caden Perkins followed five.

Alexander reduced the deficit to seven, entering the half-time break, lagging 27-20. Mason Morris scored eleven points in the second, drained two threes and has more than half points on his team. The Spartans settled offensively, marking 16 in a quarter.

Chesapike and Alexander traded buckets in the third, as the panthers kept a lead by 45-35. Kazi and Perkins led the way to Chesapik, while Maurice and their colleague Senior Claston Hawk remained the main participants in the Spartans.

Although it remained close to the lead for most of the fourth quarter, Alexander lost 59-46. The panthers were led by Kazi and Perkins, both of which dropped 14 points. Kazee also diverged with five rebounds and five assists. Center Carson Friyka added in 11 points and five fights.

For Alexander Morris, he led the road with 17 points, including four forests. Hawk added in 13 points and five fights. Isaac Waller Center followed eight points and seven struggles.

Chesapike continues to take over Winchester Eastern in the regional semifinals.

After the match, Alexander Jordan Hill’s chief coach talks about the growth of his team this season.

“If you would have told me in June that this team would progress the way they did, I would call you a liar,” Hill said. “It started with the captains, then flowed to the adults, then the rest of the team.

The Spartans finished their season with 7-16 records, with 4-8 records in a TVC-Ohio game. They finish six adults, including Hawk, Morris and Waller.
