A man from southern Texas and two Mexican citizens in the country have been illegally arrested in a case related to machine guns and cocaine.

The three have been charged with various federal firearms crimes, said US prosecutor of the Southern Texas District Nicholas J. Ganjay in a news message on Monday.

Jose Hernandez-Garza, a 25-year-old, homeless immigrant living in Laredo, made his initial expression before the US magistrate judge Christopher Dos Santos, who ordered him to be detained in anticipation of further criminal proceedings.

Fernando Patino Jr., 31 years old, from Larendo and Alberto Garcia-Guajardo, 32-year-old, also without documents living in Laredo, will appear on Tuesday.

Authorities say that over a monthly investigation Patino and Garcia-Guajardo have sold several machine guns and controlled substances, including cocaine, undercover officers.

The allegations say that on January 31, Larendo authorities executed a search order in the 3000 block on Monterey Street, where Garcia-Guajardo and Hernandez-Garza were present.

During demand, law enforcement agencies detect firearms, drugs and scale. The two men were removed.

The announcement states that Garcia-Guajardo and Patino are up to 10 years in the federal prison for possession of a machine gun. He can also be ordered to pay up to $ 250,000 fine.

Hernandez-Garza is up to 15 years of age if he was convicted of an undocumented immigrant having a firearm.
