Southeast celebrates renovations

The Southeastern Louisiana University Foundation recently held a ribbon cutting for the new renovations to the Southeastern Foundation Center. HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana University Foundation recently announced its 2024-25 Board of Directors.

“Our board is a group of committed professionals who understand Southeastern’s value to both its students and the region,” said Vice President for University Advancement Wendy Lauderdale. “They help us achieve the Foundation’s mission to serve as a catalyst for transforming lives by uniting generosity and vision, one relationship at a time.”

Jonathan Wong of Hammond will serve as chairman of the board. A local business owner, Wong is the co-founder and team leader of Cate Street Seafood Station in Hammond and The Boston Restaurant in Amite.

Returning Southeastern Foundation board members include Thomas “Tom” Akers of Mount Juliet, Tennessee; Marcia Barr of Hammond; Dawn Cantrell of Baton Rouge; Gary Clark of Baton Rouge; Toby Cortez of Ponchatoula, past chairman; Steve Corey of Mandeville, board treasurer; Beth S. Eberman of Metairie, board secretary; Marcia Galatas of Houston; April Ford Jackson of Ponchatoula; Barry “Beezy” Landry of Hammond, chairman-elect; Shelby P. LaSalle, Jr. of Mandeville; Terry LeBlanc of Baton Rouge; Wallace Lewis of Hammond; John Poteet of Hammond; Mike Sharp of Springfield; Cindy Wiseau of Tampa, Florida; Tony Volz of Mandeville; and Robert Watkins of Robert.
