Saturday starts with a coolness in the air! Overnight lows have dropped into the low and mid 30s in southeastern Wisconsin. Some inland areas have fallen in the upper 20s. Sunshine is once again overhead today as high pressure begins to ease. Highs are in the mid to upper 50s. Active weather is looming early next week.
Cloud cover is building tonight – keeping lows in the 40s.
Scattered showers begin Sunday morning in Wisconsin. Much of that activity, however, will remain far west of Milwaukee. Light to moderate rain tomorrow afternoon and evening. A lull in precipitation is expected overnight into early Monday. A warm front moves north on Monday, sending highs into the 60s. Additional showers and thunderstorms are expected Monday through early Tuesday. A solid 1-3″ of rain is possible in southern Wisconsin over the next 72 hours. This beneficial rain could hurt the ongoing drought.
Showers end late Tuesday as a cold front moves through. Highs will return to the 50s later in the week.
