South Jersey officer killed while stopping the movement in Virginia Beach – Fox 29 Philadelphia

The South Jersey community complains the loss of a hero from the hometown after two officers were killed last week.

What we know:

Virginia Beach officials Christopher Reese and Cameron Girvan were shot dead until they stopped the traffic on the leaks on Friday night.

After refusing to get out of his vehicle, police claims that the driver got into a washed with the officers before removing a gun.

He shot the officers twice, once when they laid disadvantaged on the ground, according to authorities.

The driver, identified as 42-year-old John McCoy, was found nearby with a self-inflicted firearm wound in the head.

What they say:

Gloucester Township police claim that an officer Reese was originally from the South Jersey area.

“His father is a retired police officer at Kamden’s police station,” the agency said.

The 30-year-old officer was a graduate of 2013 at the Sterling High School in Somerdale, where the flags would be flying half a staff in his honor.
