South Carolina Women’s Basketball: 3-2-1 – Players of the clutch, burning questions and a favorite game that deals with the loss of Texas – on3.com

We look at clutch players, burning questions and a favorite game after South Carolina divided their games against Georgia and Texas this weekend.

Three clutch players
Milaysia Fulvieli
Against Georgia: 25 minutes, 13 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 thefts, block
VS Texas: 21 minutes, 13 points, 3 assists, 3 thefts, 2 rebounds

Fulvili led Gamecocks in the scoring in both games. Against Texas, she looked like the player, who won the MVP at the SEC tournament against LSU last season: the fastest, most athletic player at both ends of the court. If she hadn’t missed four minutes in the fourth quarter with pain in her hand, I think South Carolina would have won the game.

Chlo Kits
Against Georgia: 22 minutes, 11 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, block, theft
Against Texas: 24 minutes, 9 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists

Kits continues to be, probably the most reliable player of South Carolina. She never stops rushing, even when she is disadvantaged, as she was against Texas.

Tessa Johnson
Against Georgia: 23 minutes, 12 points, 3 rebounds, 2 thefts, block
VS Texas: 18 minutes, 7 points, 3 rebounds, theft

Johnson broke out from his short decline against Georgia. She missed the arrangement of the Texas game, but made some important plays to get Gamecock in this position to start.

Two hot questions
1. Who is the composition of South Carolina?
Quick, which five players do you want on the floor when you need a basket? Dawn Stale went with Raven Johnson, Te-Hina Paopao, Tessa Johnson and Sania Feagin vs. Texas. She said she wanted to give Texas a different look and this led to a decent arrangement of Tessa. But where were Fulvili? Where was Joyce Edwards? Where was Chloi Kits?

But who do you take out? The best eight South Carolina players have a dispute that they are on the court in this situation, because each of them carries something unique that could change.

Gamecocks are working on end -game situations in practice (although Staley said they probably have to work in four guards more). Staley and the coaching staff know what’s working and what they want to do. I’m not second. But it would be nice to have a more defined Crunch-time composition.

2. How badly South Carolina will Florida beat on Thursday?
The last thing that struggles Gators want to see is a motivated, canceled GAMECOCK squad. It can become ugly in a hurry.

One favorite game
Everything you can do, I can do better. The visited omission of the Chloe Kits to cut Joyce Edwards for arrangement would probably have a nod anyway.

But the fact that Colin Murray Boles made a similar pass a week earlier made it even better.
