South Carolina legislators sail for regulating Vapes – WRDW

Columbia, SC (WRDW/WAGT) – A new South Carolina bill can change the way they are sold throughout the country.

This is not the first time Legislators tried to accept such an account.

In 2023, a A similar bill accepted the South Carolina Senate Unanimous support, but then stopped at the house.

Legislators are now insisting that they receive a new version of the bill through the legislature and have signed a law.

This will require all electronic nicotine supply manufacturers, also known as ends, to certify products with the Chief State Prosecutor and to prove that they comply with the FDA provisions.

The Prosecutor General would be responsible for maintaining a public directory, which lists all approved products. If a product is not indicated, it means that it cannot be legally sold in the country.

Manufacturers will also have to pay a $ 2000 registration fee per product and an annual renewal fee of $ 500.

The bill also aims to prevent advertising aimed at young people by prohibiting the use of cartoon characters, candy flavors such as bubbles and candy from cotton and branding that mimic popular food or school aids.

Last year, Georgia’s legislators have demanded more restrictions on Vape products.

The Georgia Nicotine Vapor Products Act will require the Commissioner of Agriculture in Georgia to make a list of what Nicotine Vape products can be sold in stores and sanction stores if they are caught selling something that is not in The list.

The bill adopted in the Chamber in February 2024, but was tabled by the Senate in March of the same year.
