South Carolina’s basketball team of Lamont Paris remains a hassle -free game in the game of SEC. Now sitting at 10-14 during the season and 0-11 in the league game, Gamecocks have broken their heart many times this season. While things are, USC has seven losses with one or two possessions this season, six of them in SEC competitions.
Ironically, Carolina’s next opportunity to go past heart attacks comes the day after Valentine’s Day. On Saturday, South Carolina (10-14, 0-11) will travel to Gainsville to take over the 3-Class Florida Gaitters (21-3, 8-3). SEC rivals will give up at 8:30 pm in the center of O’Connell on the SEC network.
Here are three things to watch, an opponent of Gators intelligence, plus the latest injury report.
Game for pride? Revenge?
South Carolina did not have a good season on the court this year. But Gamecocks are not as bad as their records show. With so many close losses and there could be victories this year, the powerlessness is great. Many teams in such situations (essentially) have left, but this has not happened despite the circumstances.
So, at that moment, what is to motivate Gamecocks?
A sense of personal pride and commitment is paramount in a situation where Gamecocks 2024-2025 is located. If there is any shot from the team that makes a mileage in this year’s SEC tournament, they must continue to play hard and work to fix some things.
The game on Saturday also presents the opportunity for some revenge on the court. South Carolina fell with one point at Gators’ home in January. By leaving the jaws of the victory, Gamecocks gave up Will Richard’s will and did not come out of a quality look, settling for an unnecessary 30-foot jumper with two seconds that still remain on the clock. Carolina surpassed her opponent that day, but the turnover (especially against the press) allowed Gators back into it, and a bad finish gave up the result.

Unpleasantness
As much as South Carolina completed her total record at home this season, Gamecocks were leveled bad on the road.
In seven competitions in a unfriendly environment this season, USC is 1-6. The only victory on the road came over Putrid Boston College in the SEC/Acclenge in early December. In the six defeats, South Carolina lost by 16, 35, 3, 20, 11 and 23. This is average for point -18 in these damage. 73 points (against BC) is the high -water high -water brand on the road this year. Florida has scored at least 73 points in each home game of the season.
In order to have a chance on Saturday against # 3 Gators, South Carolina must go down more than a few trends. However, in a strange turn of irony, Gamecocks won three of their last four O’Dome games.
The game on Saturday against Florida is also the first in the three -story four of the four of the Colonial Life Arena.
Who will actually play for Florida?
At the risk of overlapping with the injury report, Florida rotation is certainly worth watching, mainly because it is so much in the air right now.
On Friday, Gators announced the return of 2023-2024 Micah Handlogten starter. The big man 7’1 ″ has not played since the end of last season when he broke his legs.
However, two other players in Florida will not play, according to chief coach Todd Golden. Both the starter Alex Condon and the rotary player Sam Alexis are “out” in the availability report, a term of SEC.
The launch of the Guard Alia Martin has not played for about two weeks. The goalkeeper with 15 points per game deals with a problem with the hip joint. His official designation is “probably”, but his status is a little larger in the air, as Golden called it “dubious” on Friday.
Even with all these questions, Florida is a very good basketball team. Thomas Hau is one of the best benches ahead in the country and he could slide into the starting lineup. If not, then Handlogten is probably a player with over 60 colleges.
Still, with Colin Murray Boils as the best South Carolina player, the slim depth of Florida’s front court can give a hand to Gamecocks. In his two previous career matches against the UF, CMB missed only five common ground shots, registered a double-spirit in one game, and rejected eight career assists in the other competition.
