Charleston, SC (WCSC) – Almost two weeks ago, US representative Nancy Mayes has been charged with sexual assault against his former fiancé and three other men on the floor of the American House.
She also accused South Carolina Prosecutor Alan Wilson of prosecution and did not take action.
“While the law is explicitly explicitly protection in your system, you do not obey the law,” Mace said.
Wilson said he first learned about her case and these allegations at night before she took him to the House of Representatives when Mace sent a copy of his speech to the media.
He also said that he and his team have looked at every email and recording in the last year or more and did not find information that has been sent to him with respect to her case.
Although he denies these allegations made to him, he says that his most large problem with her speech is the impact that may have on other possible victims, as she promotes her own hot line for victims of sexual abuse.
“There is no disrespect for the individual we are talking about. Their case needs to be investigated, the State Department of Law enforcement has this case, I have no this case, I do not know anything about this case, “Wilson said. “If you want to attack me for a case I didn’t know anything about because it was never sent me, it’s good, but don’t undermine victims’ defenders, don’t undermine the real hot lines that are managed by people who are trained To support the victims of crime. “
Wilson continued to say that if Mace turns to him today, he will do everything he can to connect with the right people, because this is not his case and at the end of the day he wants to receive the victims of justice they deserve.
He also answered questions about other urgent topics for which some of the nation and the low side are concerned, such as the role of local law enforcement authorities with the immigration and identity of gender falling within Section 504.
