Gamecocks in South Carolina have a huge advantage over Wildcats in Kentucky for this weekend.

The South Carolina Men’s Basketball Team Gamecocks is still looking for her first victory in the season conference. They lost four for the last time against Texas A&M and are now 10-12 for the season and 0-9 in a conference game. It was a disappointing year for Gamecocks, but they have a great opportunity this weekend to win their first conference victory.

Usually during the season the teams will play a game during the week and then another game over the weekend. However, South Carolina this week has only a game on Saturday against No. 14 Kentucky, and Kentucky has a game on Tuesday against No. 25 Ole Miss. So Gamecocks have the full week to rest their bodies and create a game plan for their match against Wildcats.

The game is on the way to Gamecocks, so it certainly makes things a little more difficult, but getting a week on vacation at this time of the season can be big for Gamecocks. The two teams have not yet played each other, so the lack of familiarity can also help South Carolina this weekend.

By banning a miracle in the conference tournament, Gamecocks does not seem to receive an invitation to play anywhere during the post -season. But the worse things have happened in March before, so maybe if South Carolina can accumulate some wins to close the season and get better positioning of seeds for the SEC tournament, then they might be able to do something.
