South Carolina Coach, Philadelphia Born Dawn Stiley celebrates the Eagles Super Bowl victory – Greenville News

Dawn Staley did not have to be inflated too long after South Carolina’s women’s basketball was defeated by No. 6 Texas 66-62 on Sunday.

Hours after Gamecocks # 2 lost only their second game of the season, Staley celebrated when Jalen Hurts led Philadelphia Eagle to her second comprehensive Super Bowl Championship, holding Patrick Mahomes and Kansas chief Bowl.

Shortly after the Eagles’ victory by 40-22 in New Orleans, Staley posted a video of herself, wearing a hat with huge eagles and dancing to the song “Blow the Whistle” to celebrate the Super Bowl victory.

South Carolina fell to 22-2 in general and 10-1 in SEC game. The loss clicked the 57-dark winning series of the regular season of SEC.

Staley brought South Carolina to three national championships in 16 seasons as a female basketball coach. She was born in Philadelphia, visits the University of Virginia and plays in WNBA. After a six-time All-Star career in WNBA, she trained in Temple in Philadelphia before becoming a South Carolina coach in 2008.

The next Gamecocks play Florida on Thursday (7:00 pm, Secre Network) at the Colonial Life Arena.
