Snow in and around the High Desert on Monday led to road closures and travel advisories.
The 5 Freeway was closed due to snow in Tejon Pass from Parker Road in Castaic and Grapevine Road in Kern County, according to Caltrans District 7.
Motorists were advised to use the 101 Freeway as a north-south detour.
Motorists were also advised to avoid eastbound Antelope Highway (138) from the Pearblossom Highway (18) interchange in Lebec to the San Bernardino County line due to daylight conditions and strong storms.
In Lancaster, the California Highway Patrol escorted drivers with round robins on southbound Aerospace (14) Freeway between Avenue D to Avenue S due to low visibility.
