The USF women won the 5-seeds in this year’s tournament field and with it a home game of the first round on Wednesday night against Crookston.

The women’s basketball team at the University of Siou Falls gave a command post-season performance, beating Minnesota Cruxton 81-69 in the initial round of the NSIC tournament in the center of Stuart.

On the part of the men, the cougities were the highest-ranked team that had to go on the road last night on the 9-semen, traveling to Minot to take the beavers of 8th seeds.
