Show Us Your Art: It’s a Lubbock Texas Art Attack! – kfmx.com

There are some incredibly talented people in Lubbock, Texas.

Art

I co-own two haunted theme parks. It’s only recently that I’ve gotten into the artistic areas of this, like aging surfaces or finishing props. Outside of that, though, I’m not sure I’ve ever created anything physical that I would call “art.” Sure, I remember my super cool glow-in-the-dark Medusa portrait I did in 5th grade, along with countless car drawings, but really nothing as an adult.

The artists

We’re inviting people to show us their art, and I just love the fact that we and the contributors put absolutely no boundaries on the definition of what they call “art.” We have everything from paintings to pumpkins, food items and more. We’ve got Halloween makeup (it’s that time of year) and creepy art like the two-headed doll and the resin chicken spine.

The results

I posted the pictures mostly without context. If it’s “art”, it should probably speak for itself. There are obviously people here who create this art for a living or as a side hustle. If you like what someone has done, I encourage you to go to the original post here. I’d also like to recommend visiting the original post for a handful of videos that I wasn’t able to include in the photo gallery. Check out the gallery, then I’ll reveal my favorite.

The jury is in

I guess I’ll be the artistic jury on this project. First, I loved everything. As I said before, I wish I had the skills to create even this beautiful pizza. Art means something to everyone, but I’d say it really comes down to “impact” and the art that impacted me the most was the drawing of the dog with the green background. This photo just blew me away and stayed with me. Also a black and white photo of the action figure toddlers in the playpen. Also, the C. Lubbock picture and so on and so forth. EVERYTHING is good.
