Philadelphia (AP)-Paul George scored 30 points, Tire Maxi had 29, and with short hands Philadelphia 76ers beat Cleveland Cavaliers 132-129 on Friday night to end the loss of seven matches.
Cleveland lost its second right to go into equality for the NBA lead with Oklahoma City at 36-8. Philadelphia is 16-27.
Donovan Mitchell scored 37 points for Cleveland, and Tai Jerome had the highest careers 33, making all eight of 3-point attempts.
Philadelphia star Joel Embide missed his tenth straight game due to left knee injury. He was also excluded from coach Nick Nurse in Chicago on Saturday night.
Jerome’s second direct 3-indicator raised Cleveland up 116-110 with the stay of 6:17, but 76ers escaped from 13 consecutive points to climb seven. The cavaliers had the ball with a chance to tie it, but Jerome turned it into an incoming game.
Kelly Ubre, Jr. added 22 points for 76ers. Darius Garland had 26 for Cleveland.
