Shirtless Jason Kelce was briefly an internet sensation, but he may not have topped it this year – WIBW

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Just over a year ago, fearless Jason Kelce tore off his shirt and roared as his brother, Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce, made a touchdown catch.

It was the Bills Billo Bills Bills NFL playoff game on Sunday, January 21, 2024 in Orchard Park, New York and the Chiefs trailed the Bills 6-10 in the second quarter.

Travis Kelce’s catch, a 22-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes, combined with another Buter kick put them ahead 13-10. The game later ended 27-24 for the Chiefs, sending them to the AFC Championship and the Super Bowl.

The highlight of the night, however, was Jason Kelce’s dramatic celebration. He later admitted on his Travis Kelce podcast – New Heights – that he planned to take his shirt off in the box as he failed during the tailgate.

“I’m not going to lie, I gave Kylie a heads up. The moment we walked into the apartment I said ‘I’m taking my shirt off and jumping out of the apartment’ and she said ‘Jason, don’t you dare,’” Jason said. “I just said, ‘I’m just letting you know what’s going to happen, I’m not asking for permission.’ “

The moment caught the attention of businesses both in Kansas City and across the country. Shirtless art, t-shirts, cookie cakes and other products flooded the market for weeks afterward.

However, there may not be a chance for a repeat of the virus feast during the Chiefs-Bills AFC Championship Game.

Jason Kelce, a former center for the Philadelphia Eagles, will work for ESPN on his former team’s NFC Championship Game against the Washington Commanders. The game starts at 14:00 in Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field.

“I want to be there for the Eagles, but I also want to be there for my brother,” Jason Kelce said on his show, “They call it Late Night with Jason Kelce.”

“I don’t know how much more he has. We are kind of flying by the seat of our pants. We may be able to see both of them here again, hopefully,” he continued.

The possibility of Jason Kelce doing it in both games isn’t entirely out of the question. Fans will just have to wait and see if he is able to come out and make as much of an impact as he did last year.
