Former presidential aide and author Reno Omokri listed 20 characteristics he believes define ideal husband material, offering guidance for future spouses.
In a recent Facebook post, Omokri highlighted traits such as submissiveness, assertiveness and compatibility, suggesting that women with these qualities are more likely to maintain lasting relationships.
He noted that ideal husband material is not necessarily religious, but must be morally upright and share the same faith as their partner, arguing that interfaith marriages reflect a lack of conviction in one’s beliefs.
Omokri further emphasized that love, not romance or financial dependence, should be the basis of a relationship.
He wrote: “Twenty characteristics of ideal wife material.
- She is pious, not necessarily religious. She has morals.
- You have tried to have sex with her and she always refuses, even if you offer her money.
- You know her HIV status and you have blood type compatibility.
- You know the source of income behind every expensive item he has.
- She’s gorgeous, not sexy.
- She is physically attractive to you. As in, it is your specification.
- She shares the same faith as you. Marrying outside your religion proves that you don’t believe in your beliefs.
- She gives you love, not romance.
- She has never asked you to financially support her parents or siblings.
- She doesn’t need you for finances or anything else. She is with you because she wants you
- You can argue with her without the argument turning into a fight.
- It is very relevant and low maintenance.
- She has her own independent, legal and provable source of income.
- She is submissive without being obedient.
- Her relationship doesn’t break when you’re broke.
- Her human hair is not her most expensive asset.
- She encourages you to save instead of taking her out to eat all the time.
- She’s not insecure and doesn’t check your phone. If she has problems, she confronts you directly.
- She makes an effort to get along with your mother.
- She knows how to pray, play, kill and stay.
“If she has these characteristics, consider making her your future.”
