Shelton Henderson "locked" with Duke basketball, five more stars are expected to follow – Ball Durham

Shelton Henderson, the No. 15 overall prospect and No. 3 small forward in 247sports.com’s 2025 class, will be in action this Saturday between Duke, Texas and Louisville. Word has surfaced over the past week that Henderson was a surefire commitment to the Blue Devils as he received three Crystal Ball predictions last week, all to Duke.

A post from X’s HS Top Recruits confirmed that Henderson would end up at Durham, but more news followed that wasn’t expected.

After the post mentioned that Henderson was “locked in” to Duke, another big recruit was also included in the conversation in Nate Ament.

Ament is the #4 overall prospect and #2 forward in the 2025 class by 247sports.com. He has yet to narrow down his list or heat up his recruiting process, but HS Top Recruits said Duke is “comfortably the top candidate” for the five-star recruit.

Ament and Henderson appear to be something of a package deal for Duke, as the two visited Durham on the same weekend.

Although Ament will wait until the spring to commit, Jon Scheyer brings in another prospect class with elite positional size, similar to what he tried to do with his 2024 team. The smallest scholarship player on Duke’s roster this season is 6′ 5″.

This is Duke’s potential 2025 recruiting class. and their measurables.

Cameron Boozer (committed): 6′ 9″, 235 pounds

#21 Rookie Cayden Boozer (Committed): 6′ 4″, 215 lbs

#19 Rookie Nicolas Hamenia (committed): 6′ 9″, 215 lbs

#15 prospect Shelton Henderson: 6′ 6″, 220 lbs

#4 prospect Nate Ament: 6′ 9″ 185 lbs

Duke basketball is currently ranked No. 1 in the 2025 recruiting class. with the promises of twins Boozer and Khamenia already. Adding two more five-stars to the mix will almost certainly keep the Blue Devils at the top of the recruiting trail.

Scheyer’s recruiting masterclass continues.
