We caught up with the Humane Society’s director of animal care, Ali Wasmer, and the shelter’s supervisor of care, Jacob Beardley, after the flight arrived in town.

What are they saying?

“You feel good, don’t you? You get your adrenaline pumping watching these little guys whack their tails and knowing it’s been a long day for them. They are probably very tired. It was raining in Los Angeles when they left, which is really different for these guys.”

“Our mentality is that it doesn’t matter if we serve the Seattle area or just everywhere, we take in animals from all over the state and the country. So when there are natural disasters that happen, we really try to do our best to participate as much as possible and make a difference wherever we can,” the humane society representative continued.

The Seattle Humane Society says it’s a team effort with Paws for Life and Wings of Rescue. They are asking if anyone can adopt, adopt or donate, please do!
