Early last Thursday afternoon, Reese’s Senior Bowl announced a partnership with Trim Tab Brewing of Birmingham to release “Senior Bowl All-Star Lager.” The beer will be available in shops and bars across the country, with a portion of all sales going to charity.
“TrimTab’s partnership with the Senior Bowl has been an exciting process primarily because of the uniqueness of the Senior Bowl.” TrimTab Brewing CEO Bill Ritter told Tide 100.9, “The Senior Bowl event serves as the moment when the focus shifts from college to professional football each year. And we Alabamians love our football! We are also thrilled that the proceeds from every sale of All-Star Lager will go to Senior Bowl Charities, a non-profit organization that supports charitable causes in Mobile and Baldwin counties.” Ritter said.
“The Senior Bowl’s All-Star Lager will be distributed throughout the state of Alabama and in Florida, giving additional visibility to the beer and the TrimTab brand.” Ritter added, “Our team has enjoyed working with the Senior Bowl team and our distributor, Gulf. It was a joy to experience and we look forward to events being announced soon.”
Kari Sykes, the marketing and creative director at TrimTab Brewing, designed the label for “All-Star Lager” and had this to say about the creative process that went into it.
“I knew I wanted to take it in a sporty, maximalist direction. I worked with the Senior Bowl team to get specific assets that they wanted included in the label, and from there I just started putting everything together. The layering of the yard lines mixed with the draws and silhouette of the football player helped add depth to the design and allowed the beer name + Senior Bowl logo to really stand out.”
