Charleston, WV (Woay) – February 12 launched Mountain State’s first legislative session for 2025.

For many new legislators, this is their introductory experience in Capitol.

It was a trip to get there, but the day that Brian Helton (R-Fayette | District 9) was looking forward to a long time.

Helton is excited to be in Charleston as a freshman senator. He says they have very large TAP accounts, from a drug abuse disorder to economic development opportunities.

The Senator is the chairman of several committees: including drug abuse and disorders of mental health, transport and infrastructure, energy and government organizations.
