Seattle’s bases fell on fire in yellow and blue on Monday after Russia began a full -scale invasion of Ukraine.

This comes after Mayor of Seattle Bruce Harel announced on February 24 a Solidarity Day with the people of Ukraine.

Among the sights illuminated with the colors of Ukraine were Great Wheel, T-Mobile Park, Lumen Field and the Arch of the Congress Center in Seattle.

There was also a Great Wheel rally on Sunday, as community members stood with the war -torn country.

“We are here to thank you for the United States of America, for the US people, for staying with Ukraine for these three difficult, difficult years,” said Vitaly Petahotin, one of the organizers of the events. “Even the time is crying with us today because we have lost our brother and sisters, children, families in this war and we want support for Ukraine and we pray for victory.”

March “The Stand with Ukraine: 3 years of Sustainability” and Rally took place on Sunday, February 23, with a beginning on the Pike Place market and ends near the space needle.
