More than 290 girls scouts in northern central Alabama should receive their initial orders for girl scout cookies on January 31st. The distribution will be carried out on the farmer’s market in Alabama of 344 Finley Avenue W from 8 in the morning to 1 in the afternoon

In the Birmingham region alone, 226 764 packages will be distributed.

“The Girl Scout Cookie program helps our Girl Scout cookie sellers grow into astute, community -oriented and capable leaders,” said Karen Peterlin, CEO of Girl Scouts of North Central Alabama. “All funds generated by the program remain local, so the revenues from the largest entrepreneurial program, led by girls in the world, are beneficial for girls, troops and volunteers of GSNCA.”
