With 13 jobs spread across seven different boards and commissions, this is a unique opportunity for residents to help shape the future of Scottsdale.
Those wishing to apply must complete an online application by Friday, November 1.
Scottsdale’s open positions include roles on the Environmental Advisory Commission, the Loss Trust Fund Board and the Veterans Advisory Commission, among others. The City encourages civic-minded individuals to apply for these positions, which play a vital role in influencing policy, providing recommendations, and ensuring the continued growth and well-being of the Scottsdale community.
Positions available include:
- Advisory Committee on the Environment (3 vacancies)
- Commission for the Preservation of Historical Heritage (2 openings)
- Loss Trust Fund Board (1 opening)
- McDowell Sonoran Reservation Commission (1 opening)
- Quarterly Advisory Committee (1 opening)
- Paths and Trails Subcommittee (1 opening)
- Veterans Advisory Commission (4 seats)

Applications will remain valid for one year. After reviewing the applications, the Scottsdale City Council will nominate candidates for interviews and schedule meetings in December.
Selected candidates will be required to adhere to the City’s Code of Ethics and participate in a training session before officially beginning their term.
