Scottsdale Bakery and Tea Room offers English tea experience with delicious desserts – Arizona family

Scotsdale, AZ (Azfamily) – Tea for tea in Scottsdale will make you feel that you have taken a trip to England.

Floral decorations, light music, hot tea and delicious food served on real vintage dishes create the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing afternoon with friends and family.

The Lilibet bakery and English tea room is located near the Scottsdale and Indian Bend roads.

The name is an ode to Queen Elizabeth II, as Lilibet was the nickname her father had for her when she was a child. Lilibet stood up for something English as she also hinted at the royal line.

The location was a small cake store while Beverly Sullivan, owner of Lilibet’s Bakery and English Tea Room, took over in October 2023.

The store still sells solid and delicious desserts, but added a unique touch for customers: afternoon tea.

“I wanted a peaceful place where you could drink tea, not necessarily dress, not necessarily pay a huge amount. Just a pleasant experience to catch up with friends where the hurry is not what we do- we have time to sit, and talk and enjoy a little time in life, “said Sullivan. He is from Manchester, England and moved to Arizona with her husband eight years ago.

Guests can book the afternoon experience of tea, which consists of a three -stage finger presentation such as small sandwiches, cutlets and desserts such as a cookie, macaroni covered with chocolate strawberries and mini cupcakes, along with their choice of unlimited black tea glasses, White tea and herbal tea.

Gluten -free options are also available. Families who want to celebrate a special occasion can organize a baby tea party, which includes peanut butter and sandwiches with cheese/cheese/mayo, fruits, cookies and pot with tea.

Sullivan says afternoon tea is a relaxing experience to enjoy with friends and family, just as she has come home to England. “I tried to stick to real English tea with exactly the kind of things you would find if you go to a small tea house in England,” she said.

Sullivan adds that another important element of tea experience is the real, vintage dishes that he uses to serve tea and treats.

“The other really important thing, in my opinion, is to drink tea in a real glass with a real dish. We don’t make any paper cups. We do not make any paper dishes. It is a pleasant experience in a pleasant surrounding and pleasant food, “Sullivan said.

Along with the experience of tea, the bakery and tea room of Lilibet also make delicious homemade cakes and tartlets. They have a variety of scents of tartlets, which are available to buy daily orders for special occasions and events.
