Scotsdale launches a new emergency warning system – Arizona family

Scotsdale, AZ (Azfamily)– Residents and visitors to Scottsdale may soon receive a new notice on their mobile phones during an emergency if they are registering for a new service.

The city of Scottsdale launches the Rave Signal System for emergency signals and emergency notifications to be informed during large -scale events.

The Scottsdale Police Department is managing the service, which is a mass notification system by a private company.

Other cities of the valley have already implemented this system, which provides a signal in situations such as difficult weather, public safety problems, evacuation, missing people and special events.

The system is part of a state initiative to increase public safety through emergency communication.

Scottsdale will launch Rave Alert System during WM Phoenix Open. Participants can subscribe by sending messages to Golf25 to 67283.

The city encourages all residents to register for emergency signals. Users can receive personalized notifications of problems with time, safety and usefulness through text, email or voice message.
