Scotsdale seeks passionate residents to apply for open positions in the advisory councils of citizens, committees and committees.

These volunteer roles offer a unique opportunity to form urban policies, make recommendations and make a lasting impact.

There are 12 openings in nine public authorities, including the Airport Advisory Committee, the Council of Advisory Council, the Board of the Trust Fund of the Loss and the Advisory Committee for the neighborhood. The Scottsdale Municipal Council relies on those citizens -led groups to explore problems and offer insights that lead important solutions.

Residents who are interested in service must submit an online application by Friday, February 21st. Current openings include:

  • Airport Advisory Commission (1 opening)
  • Appeal Council for Construction (2 openings)
  • Civic Committee for Bond Surveillance (1 Discovery)
  • Environmental Advisory Committee (1 Discovery)
  • Commission on Human Relations (2 Openings)
  • Advisory Board for Judicial Appointments (1 opening a citizen representative)
  • Board of Loss Fund (2 openings)
  • Neighborhood Advisory Commission (1 opening)
  • Park and Recreation Commission (1 opening)

Applications remain in the file for one year. Following a review, the City Council of Scottsdale will nominate candidates for interviews and appoint new members in March. The elected ones must complete the workout and stick to the City Code of the city before they formally begin their term.
