Scotsdale did the right thing and killed Day. Good repayment Opinion – the Republic of Arizona

Scotsdale was criticized for rejecting a program of diversity, justice and inclusion. But the protesters are those who are not in contact.

Play

  • The Scotsdale Municipal Council votes 5-2 to remove variety, justice and inclusion programs.
  • This decision is not up to date with public opinion, but rather reflects a national tendency to reject DEI initiatives.
  • College campuses and voters across the country are inferior to such initiatives because they know they are not working.

From the appearance of this, a new and more conservative city council of Scottsdale was completely out of step on Tuesday, when they denied the presence of the crowd and eliminated its programs for diversity, justice and inclusion.

Boos was raining on council members when they voted 5-2 to engage in hiring and relax the city office for diversity and inclusion, Taylor forces from the Arizona Republic said.

The optics of the meeting would assume that the Council is doing something strange and in contrast to the people who chose them.

But in fact, the crowd was without a step and tin.

Not only the Conservatives have rejected DEI

The Council of Scottsdale is riding a historical and national wave, which rejects political ideology that feeds DEI programs in the mayoralty, federal bureaucracy, academic circles, corporate America, major technologies, media, arts and entertainment and charity foundations.

The reverse reaction is powerful and bilateral, with many liberals in avant -garde.

Dei’s defenders who take advantage of the word “justice” and claim that success must be determined for the equality of results, not the equality of opportunities, to improve the ideology that is obsessed with race.

He encourages the City Council of Scottsdale “antimeritocratic discrimination”.

If you think that only the Conservatives at the Scotsdale Municipal Council see Dei in this way, you have not paid attention.

The whole building of diversity, justice and inclusion is in collapse.

I could fill in an entire newspaper with evidence, but I would limit it to a few significant developments.

Diversity initiatives collapse everywhere

Most Americans agree that people in color should enjoy access to the same jobs and positions of authority as the white majority. Where it breaks down, it is how you do this.

How you do something matters.

And the country rejects the “equality of results” approach, which goes on many strips – DEI, affirmative actions, critical theory of race, critical social justice, decolonization, hereditary ideology.

America is done by imposing racial quotas from top to bottom and settings to achieve a predetermined goal of what is a “equality”.

The problem with this approach is that you are doing a race, not a merit, the highest priority in rental, promotions, grants and other things. The skin color, an integral characteristic of all human beings, begins to precede over skills and abilities and powers.

Candy rides high on these ideas. No longer

Ibram X. Candy, African-American Academician and Evangelist for the Equality of “Anti-Rassism”, once formulated this philosophy in his bestseller of the New York Times “How to Become Anti-RAC:”

“The only remedy for last discrimination is discrimination. The only remedy for presenting discrimination is future discrimination. ”

Candy, who was driving high in “The Race Reading of George Floyd,” today saw that his profile was shrinking and his multimillion -dollar anti -Reclary center at Boston University were dry.

“Although readers’ legions continue to celebrate Candy as a brave and innovative thinker,” the New York Times reports in June, “For many others, it has become a symbol of everything that is wrong in racial discourse today.

“Even many allies in the struggle for racial justice reject his brand of anti -ricism as incapacitated, arranged or counterproductive.”

The University of Michigan doubled on Dei

The University of Michigan did not invent Dei, but has become the Manhattan project of its organizing principles.

The school “poured approximately a quarter of a billion dollars in Dei since 2016,” reports the New York Times Magazine Nicholas Confessore in October. “When Michigan discovers what he now calls DEI 1.0, he deliberately settled into a vanguard of a revolution, after which he reshaped American higher education.”

The university switched to Dei 2.0, but large cracks are formed in the building.

“During the months of reporting this year, I found a different type of return reaction building that stems not from Washington or right brain trusts, but from our own hostels and university professors,” confessore reports.

“To a large extent, the left -wing campus of Michigan few of the people I met have questioned the broad ideals of diversity or social justice. Still, the most common attitude I encountered during my visits to Ann Arbor was a kind of cautious neglect. ”

Michigan’s studies have shown that it worsens things

Confessore further reports:

  • “Many black students today view the school’s expansion program as a well -intentioned failure.”
  • “In the campus, I met students with a wide range of environments and perspectives. No one expressed much enthusiasm for Michigan Dei’s initiative. Where some found him shallow, others found him suffocating. They shook their eyes to ordinary suggestions that revolve around identity and oppression. “
  • In their own research at the University, “students and teachers report a less positive climate in the campus than at the beginning of the program and a less sense of belonging. Students are less likely to interact with people of different race or religion or with different policies – in theory, the exact type of DEI engagement programs are intended to be encouraged. “
  • “Instead, Dei’s efforts in Michigan have created a powerful conceptual framework for student complaints and teachers – and great bureaucratic mechanisms for their pursuit. In the daily complaints of campus and academic disagreements, professors and students told me, now they were presented as crises of inclusion and harm, each of which required additional administrative intervention or expansion. ”

New York Times is the Guardian of the Urban Left. This is not a magician. It’s not conservative.

Blue State California rejected affirmative actions

Neither the voters of California. They have created a virtual one-party state in which Democrats rule an entire sacramental-hundredth of the state-and occupy the vast majority of California places in Congress.

However, California voters have predominantly rejected experience in 2020 to restore affirmative actions or preferences based on a race in public renting, negotiation and education.

Guided by African American, Ward Conerley and Asian American, Venuan Wu, California opponents of affirmative actions destroyed their opponents at the urn, 57% to 43% – despite the fact that they were ahead of 16 to 1.

Voting in California was a precursor to the remarkable decision of the Supreme Court in the summer of 2023, which overturned admission programs in accordance with race in colleges and universities.

In his opinion of the majority, Chief Justice John Roberts writes: “Many universities are too long … concluded that the Touchstone of the individual’s identity is not a challenge, built skills or learned lessons, but the color of their skin. Our constitutional history does not tolerate this choice. ”

College campuses woke up in toxic ideology

The Iranian supported by Iran invasion of Israel, in which about 1,200 mostly Israeli Jews were killed, many Americans were awakened, and in particular the Jewish Americans, that the ideology of the race of a race created the harmful biprocode-antishematism.

The student marches called for the abolition of Israelis and their country after Israeli men, women and children were tortured and killed.

The nutrition of the story was the ideology of “decolonization”, which comes from the same marshmallows that give us DEI and critical theory of race. At Atlantic magazine, British historian Simon Sebag Montefiore thundered:

“Student fun in response to slaughter … Support for Hamas among artists and actors, along with the attachment of Weaselly by leaders in some of the most famous research institutions in America, showed a shocking lack of morality, humanity and basic decency. ”

In the end, the presidents of Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania will resign after the hearing of the Congress has set out the lack of moral clarity in condemning anti -Semitism in the campus.

Scotsdale had everything you need for Jettison Dei

MIT, followed by Harvard and other major universities, has removed the so -called “diversity” or “dei” statements over the past year, which requires future employees to swear the oath of loyalty to the goals of diversity, justice and inclusion.

Randal Kennedy, a liberal academic at the Faculty of Law in Harvard, said: “It would be difficult to overestimate the extent to which many scientists in Harvard and beyond feel intense and growing against Dei Enterprise because of the characteristics that are perhaps most consistent in The search for DEI statements. “

The crowd that stars Scottsdale’s city leaders on Tuesday also complained that the Council did not spend the time needed to adequately evaluate the DEI program in the city.

The truth is that DEI has been tested in America for years and has found inadequate and even toxic in its approach to diversifying universities and jobs.

The advice was right to throw him away. Now.
