Hey Broncos!
Did you know that where you park your Lime scooter or bike can make a big difference? The City of Boise’s Scoot Over campaign is here to remind everyone to park scooters responsibly and keep sidewalks clear for everyone. Whether you’re walking to class, walking around downtown, or grabbing a coffee, making sure your scooter is parked in a designated enclosure or off to the side helps ensure our sidewalks are accessible to everyone in the community.
Why does this matter? Imagine someone who uses a wheelchair, a person with low or no vision who gets around with a white cane, or a parent who pushes a pram. When scooters block sidewalks, it creates barriers that can make it difficult for people to get around safely and easily. It’s about taking care of each other and making Boise and the Boise State University campus more accessible and welcoming to everyone.
So the next time you’re about to park, take a second to “jump” and use the parking barriers or find a safe spot that doesn’t block the road. It’s a small action that makes a big impact!
Thank you for helping us keep Boise’s sidewalks clean and making campus life better for all of us. Let’s show some Bronco pride by leading the way in keeping our city safe and accessible.
