The culprit who recently set fire to Lubbock Schlotzsky’s house has pleaded guilty to arson and will spend the next 10 years in prison as a result.
What happened to the Schlotskys on 19th Street?
In July 2022, the location was robbed twice by someone acting alone. That one person turned out to be 21-year-old Blair Warner.
According to Everything Lubbock, Warner entered the establishment and stole payroll from the owner’s desk. He also took some devices that the restaurant had in the back.
Warner then left the building after leaving a ransom note. In the letter, he tells the owners to leave $5,000 in cash on the counter for him to take on an upcoming night. If they follow his instructions, he will return the devices he stole, and if they don’t, they will be “sorry”.
After the owners read the letter, they installed motion-activated cameras, which sure enough detected movement that night. The camera showed Warner, wearing black camouflage clothing and sunglasses, rummaging in the back of the store.
Arson and the arrest of Blair Warner
Warner, who is physically disabled and walks with the aid of a cane, set fire to the kitchen area of Schlotzsky’s on 19th Street on August 2, 2022.
On August 17, Blair Warner was arrested after a shelter in Roswell ran a background check and noticed a warrant for his arrest. The shelter contacted Roswell police and Warner was taken into custody.
The 769 days spent in jail will be used as credit toward his 10-year prison sentence.

I recently went into Buc-ee’s in Fort Worth and even though we are still days away from Halloween, they already had some Christmas and holiday decorations and gifts available for purchase. These are the best items I found that were available as of 10/21/24. Of course, availability will vary.
