Charleston, SC (WCSC) – The Ministry of Transport in South Carolina is in the process of re -measuring the upper peninsula.
Officials from the city of Charleston say the goal is to increase safety for pedestrians and motorcyclists.
The work is done on Meeting Street, north of the Plezant Street Mountain, to the place where Avenue Spril enters.
The City of Charleston, along with Scdot, who finances this, describes this as a road diet.
The part of the street street in question will decrease from four sails to three sails and there will be a central turn lane once it is completed.

Improvements to the bicycle lane and the sidewalk are the other basic elements of this construction.

The work on the contract must be completed by June, and with good weather employees claim that repair can potentially start by the end of the month.
