The Wes Valley Water Region (WVWD), in collaboration with the Supervisory Body of San Bernardino County, Jesse Arnedarez, is taking active steps to install a critical infrastructure for fire suppression, ensuring that the needs of their shared communities are satisfied during emergencies.
“Thanks to generous funding from the Head Armendarez, we will be able to take proactive measures to guarantee the safety and willingness of our customers,” said WVWD President Greg Young. “These new hydrants will fill critical gaps to ensure that families, homes and livelihoods of our communities are protected.”
Supervisor Armendarez has carried out up to $ 100,000 for the project to finance the installation of new fire hydrants in the field of service at the WVWD South Fountain.
“Given the devastating fires that we are witnessing in Los Angeles and the surrounding areas, it is clear that we should invest in a critical infrastructure that increases the safety of our communities,” said the Supervisory Armendares. “As we partner with Water Valley Water District and fund the installation of new fire hydrants, we guarantee that homes in this neighborhood are at the recommended distance for fire protection, which allows our firefighters to react more quickly and efficiently.”
WVWD crews will start preparing immediately and the installation is expected to be completed later this summer. Customers who can experience short -term impacts on their service during the installation will be notified before the start of the project.
“This proactive step is essential to support our first answers and provide them with the necessary tools to protect our residents. The safety of our community is a priority and we are committed to taking the necessary action to protect it. “Arnedares said.
