Sauerkraut Festival royalty crowns sweet hat at annual downtown Fremont event – AOL

Downtown Fremont’s annual Sauerkraut Festival treated visitors to mild temperatures and sunny skies on Saturday.

David Graham of Fremont was crowned Master Brussels Sprout and Trish Kopus, also of Fremont, was crowned Little Miss Coleslaw during the Senior Sauerkraut Festival Saturday at the Fremont Community Amphitheater.

More than 50 vendors attended the event sponsored by Frank’s Kraut, The Garrison, Jimmy G’s and the Ohio Arts Council.

Entertainment was provided by The Good Times Orchestra, Culkar and Gobob Band and the Toledo Polish American Concert Band.

The Cabbage Passing Contest was held at the Fremont Community Amphitheater on Saturday during the Sauerkraut Festival.
