The San Francisco giants will expire two of their starting farmers during the opening home on Sunday against Cincinnati in Scottsdale, Ariz.
This is part of a plan to get some of their starting pitters some early work as they are preparing for the regular season.

Last season, he made his first All-Star Game appearance in July and was sixth in Cy Young League Cy Young. He went 13-10 with 3.47 ERA. In the last three seasons, it has been the most durable baseball pitcher, as it started 98 games with 39-32 records, 1.40 war and 3.22 ERA.
Birdsong fought for a rotary spot after collapsing as a rookie in 2024. He went 5-6 with 4.75 ERA last season, with 88 penalties and 43 walks in 72 passes.
On Monday, Giants will play a split team game. Justin Verlander will start the house game against Colorado, and Mason Black will start the road game in Los Angeles Angel.
Verlander has signed a one -year contract with Giants and is a three -time winner in CY Young. He also comes out of his worst season as he coped with injuries and only went 5-6 with 5.48 ERA.
Black made his MLB debut last season and went 1-5 with 6.44 ERA in nine games (eight starts). He struck 31 and went 15 in 36.1 passes.
Robbie Ray, the winner of CY Young 2021, will start the game on Tuesday with athletics.
The 33-year-old returned last season from Tommy John Surgery and Rehab to make seven starts, as he went 3-2 with 4.70 ERA with 43 penalties and 15 walks before a hip injury to end his season.
Jordan Hicks will start for Giants against athletics on Wednesday in Scottsdale. The former relief begins his second year as an elementary pitcher and tries to restore a place in the rotation.
In the end, he lost a place in the rotation last year, as he went 4-7 with 4.10 ERA in 29 games (20 starts). He struck 96 and went 47 in 109.2 passes.
It is absent from the rotation Kyle Harrison, who is expected to be part of the rotation of the opening day. To manager Bob Melvin, he is a week behind the other starters about being ready to play play.
