San Bernardino, CA (November 3, 2024) – A hit and run accident happened this morning on the westbound side of I10 just east of the Sierra Avenue off ramp. At approximately 8:59 a.m., emergency crews were alerted to the scene of a collision involving a white Ford F150 that had overturned and landed on its roof after colliding with a smaller white SUV.
Initial reports indicate that the incident has blocked all lanes of traffic, causing significant inconvenience to motorists in the area. Emergency crews from San Bernardino Fire and Rescue immediately arrived to assess the situation and render assistance. The driver of the overturned vehicle was reportedly ejected from the vehicle while the second vehicle involved in the collision fled the scene.
Upon arrival crews found an overturned Ford F150 blocking the slow lane and efforts were made to clear the roadway. Tow trucks have been requested to help remove the wrecked cars from the scene. Fortunately, while injuries have been reported, no life-threatening injuries have been confirmed at this time.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the hit and run and they are seeking any witnesses who may have information regarding the second vehicle that left the scene.
