The flurry of Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra leaks continues as the duo has just been signed off by Thailand’s NBTC certification body. According to its listing, Samsung is launching the Note 20 in 5G and LTE-only versions — much like the Galaxy S20 series.
While we won’t have confirmation until the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5, the Note 20 Ultra has already been seen in hands-on photos and videos, revealing its stunning polished black design and the very iconic Mystic Bronze color. The new certification leak doesn’t give many details, but it does confirm the model number and the name “Galaxy Note 20 Ultra”.
In any case, the 5G editions will be more expensive than their LTE-only counterparts, and Samsung may ship the device with the Exynos 992 processor in some markets instead of using Qualcomm’s alternative.
The manufacturer has also revised the design language. The Note 20 series looks much more aesthetic, balanced and symmetrical, featuring a triple camera array arranged vertically in a huge camera bump. The camera island and body are painted the same color, and the phone has a larger and slimmer profile. And the trusty S-pen also wears the same finish as the rest of the build.
The Note 20 Ultra will debut with a 108MP sensor, but won’t retain the one-of-a-kind 100x Space Zoom from the S20 Ultra. For its home market, Samsung may introduce the latest Snapdragon 865+ chipset and combine it with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for the base variant. The series will go on sale later in August.
