Safety Alert issued for Business in West Seattle after thefts of HVAC System, burglary at the restaurant – FOX 13 Seattle

The Western Seattle Junction Association is circulating a business safety signal in the area after a series of HVAC and a local restaurant explodes.

What we know:

Most recently, Lady Jay was the victim of a breakthrough early on Friday morning. According to the restaurant, two masked persons have breaks through the back door and stole different objects.

“They have taken many staff tips, cash, mini -lump bottles,” said co -owner Evan Carter. “They took check books and things like that. It could have been much worse. Fortunately, they did not throw away the place.”

The restaurant spent a good part of the day before its 4 -hour opening, repairing the back door.

“We have good community support,” Carter said. “This is a failure, but we are moving forward.”

The explosion comes to the treatments of neighboring enterprises, which are directed.

“It’s a big headache,” says John Daniels, owner of Fish Company in Seattle.

According to Daniels, the thieves were caught on the camera last Thursday, perverted in the open HVAC of the restaurant.

“I came to work and found that gas is running out,” he said. “These people take honey worth $ 300 or all kinds of metal, but it costs me tens of thousands of dollars. It’s just a loss.”

Vandalism caused its cooling.

“If all my cooling comes out, I have a big problem. It’s a huge thing,” he said. “We had to buy a bunch of ice to keep everything cold.”

The hit was also Daniel’s neighbor, Centurylink.

Daniels said the thieves used a stolen vehicle to gain access to the property and steal valuable parts of their HVAC units.

All three affected businesses are at California Avenue SW.

Evan Carter with Lady Jay said that fellow business owners should be aware of crimes and take appropriate action.

“Watch out,” he said. “Make sure everything is locked, stored and hidden, because they come straight to the office, straight for money.”
