Farm & Museum on Billings

Maple, Maple History’s Woodstock-Maggie with Sugar Sugar, Exhibits and others will be held from 10:00 to 16:00 Saturday to Sunday, February 15-23, at Billings Farm & Museum.

The president’s weekly activities include the torch of the torch, a walking with horse sleigh and the final movie in the movie series “Woodstock Vermont”, “Songs on Earth”.

Rupert Meetinghouse

Rupert – the public is invited to worship and service of the contract, which will be held at 10:30 Sunday, February 9, at the Rupert Congregation Church, 2803 route 153 in Rupert.

As part of the worship, Poli Latrop will be ordered to the new parish nurse for its holistic, health and medical program at this historic meeting house for Rupert 1786, the oldest meeting house (community center) in a continuous operation in Vermont.

Reverend Dr. Steve Berry points out that in many rural areas of Vermont, Americans need more food, preventive protocols and dietary consultations to facilitate the development of a healthy lifestyle.

WWP fundraising

Brandon-Sentinel Horse Feed has announced the culmination of a round campaign for a wounded warriors project, with a solemn event at 11 am, February 11, at the Blue Seal Farm & Home store, 57 Alta Woods, Brandon.

The campaign raised $ 20,000 in support of WWP mental health and wellness programs, including horse therapy to help veterans build confidence and stability by encouraging horses relationships in a safe and supportive environment. The donations to the rounding campaign were collected at Sentinel Blue Seal stores in the northeast.

In addition to checking a presentation and snacks, the event will participate Dr. Taishan Jenkins, an early warrior and officer of the National Air Guard, who will share his story. While he was located with the US Air Force in Qatar, he received a back injury that led to physical and emotional challenges. He credits WWP by helping him restore his life. Today, Dr. Jenkins runs a program for scholarships for young people at risk and serves as the head of the WWP partner group support group, helping other veterans.

Audubon Fundraiser

Brandon – Rutland Auduban County will host the sale of pop -up birds from 9:00 to 14:00 Saturday, February 15, at Blue Seal Farm & Home Store, 57 Alta Woods, Brandon. The revenues from the sale of bird seeds will help to raise money for Rutland Oudbon County.

Chocolate workshop

Proctorsville – the history of the chocolate workshop, sponsored by the historical society in Cavendish, will be held on Saturday, February 15th.

The owner of this chocolate, Maren Muther, will also teach the workshop. Participants should arrive at the Cavendish Library, 573 Main St., Proctorsville, until 10am Saturday, February 15, so they can get on her house (castle) for tea, conversation and tasting.

The education of the story

At the beginning of the 250th anniversary of the US Revolution, the Vermont Historical Society would build an opportunity for a site based on Vermont students called “All in Vermont: Put your story on the map”.

This project is a call for the study of Vermont residents, remarkable events, industry, movements and culture that demonstrate the continued evolution of the state after the American Revolution.

The All in Vermont project is bound by the C3 framework for state standards for social research and will provide opportunities for teachers, students and local historians to join the centering of local classroom education across the country.

This project has been funded in whole or in part from the US National Park Service by P24AC02271) to NeiWPCC in partnership with the Lake Champlain Pool Program.

Vermont Woodlands

Previously operated through home offices, the Vermont Woodlands Association announced the opening of a physical office at 36 College St. In Montpelier, in the former Vermont College of Fine Arts building since January.
