The Burlington Training Program of the Army officer of the University of Vermont won the 2023-24 General Douglas Douglas Douglas leadership for the third time in the last 10 years.
The award is awarded to the best ROTC program in the northeastern region of the Cadet Command of the US Army, consisting of nine separate regions, consisting of 275 host programs across the country. The northeast consists of 42 hosts who include all Ivy League schools and other elite universities.
The election for the award is based on the achievement of the mission for commissioning the school, the average cadet class, which stands in the list of the National Order for Merit Command assessment and evaluation of the overall program. UVM Rotc is now a finalist among the other eight regional winners for the best program in the United States.
Colonel Alan Keho, Commander of the 2nd Brigade, Cadet Command of the US Army, will present the UVM Award temporarily acting President Patricia Patrick at 10 am Thursday, April 3, at the UVM Alumni House, Silver Pavilion, 61 Summit st ., Burlington. Vaccine clinic
Rutland – The Monthly Vaccine Clinic will be held from 10 am until noon Wednesday, February 26, at Broc, 45 Union St. in Rutland. No insurance or meeting is required. Rock concert
Middlebury-Rock-IT Science Concert, starring Middlebury teens, led by musician Clint Bieman, will be held on 19:00 Thursday, February 27, at the City Hall Theater. Admission is free.
Clint Bieman and Rock Band members, The Grift, have run this seminar for over 12 years. Throughout the week of February, Middlebury Youth gathered, exploded in groups, writing original songs, rehearsing classic covers before performing and enrolling them on Friday.

Burlington – Join the Vermont Library Association for a guest lecture at 6:00 pm Thursday, March 6, in the main reading room of Fletcher Free Bibrary, 235 College St., Burlington. The conversation is free and open to everyone.
John Swan’s lecture is presented by the Committee on Intellectual Freedom of the Vermont Library Association.
Thomas Sullivan, President of UVM Emeritus, will present “speech challenges for the first amendment for libraries and society under the new administration in Washington: why books and expressive thought cannot be prohibited.”

The Flower Show in Vermont
Essex Junction – Vermont Flowers show 2025 The History of Gardening will be held from March 7 to March 9, at the Essex Juni Valley Valley.
Children’s events include hunting frogs, which are constant practical activities and craft projects, as well as a game in dirt.

Deep safety
Ski Vermont reminds Snow Sports lovers to prioritize deep snow safety. To help training skiers and snowboarders, Ski Vermont adds deep snow safety information on Skivermont.com/deep-snow-safty.
Many lovers of snow sports take advantage of constant dust drops, but these accumulated snow depths and loose snow can create potential dangers such as wood wells, which can increase the risk of immersion and suffocation.
Ski Vermont also warns anyone who is considering entering the back to make sure that there is appropriate equipment and training or is considering hiring a management service before leaving the ski area.

February is a national month for parents leadership. Preventing the abuse of children Vermont offers several rounds of parents to support parents.
This year, one of the parent leaders Tony Cantor was nominated and received the National Parent of the Year Parental Round of Parents. Tony is the parental leader of Pcavt Circle of Parents for single mothers.
Uvm Health Network
The Green Mountain Care decision will enable Vermont’s Health Network to continue to provide community -based services at St. Obansa, Newport and Rutland.
GMCB voted to increase the revenue limit of the UVM Medical Center to incorporate the revenue from community dialysis services and to allow for continuous work so that patients do not have to travel further because They need.
The UVM Medical Center will continue to maintain losses while looking for opportunities to reduce the cost of providing dialysis of Vermonters.
