The Rockies announced 23 players received a non-roster invitation to spring training in 2025, a mix of current prospects as well as players who have seen major league service time with other clubs.
Some of the non-roster invitees are bound to compete for an opening day spot and could have a noticeable impact on Colorado’s chances this summer.
Nine of the non-roster invitees join Colorado from different organizations, and eight of those players have already made their MLB debut. The only one who isn’t is Jeffrey Yang, who spent last season with the Saitama Seibu Lions of Nippon Professional Baseball in Japan. This winter, the southpaw reliever posted a 1.71 ERA in 25 games in the Dominican Winter League.
Top prospects are also among the invitees, including right-hander Chase Dolander, left-handers Carson Palmquist and Sean Sullivan, shortstop Julio Carreras, Kyle Karos and Ryan Ritter and outfielders Benny Montgomery and Sterlin Thompson.
Right-hander Gabriel Hughes, who like Dolander was drafted in the first round, is also invited after missing 2024 recovering from Tommy John surgery.
Here is the complete list of non-roster invites for 2025 spring training.
