Robert A. Mayer Necrologist February 1, 2025 – Funeral Homes in Edgington

Deacon Robert E. Meyer, 91 -year -old, from Wilmington, Ohio, died on Saturday, February 1, 2025 in Ohio Live Cape May in Wilmington, Ohio.

He was born on February 22, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Earl J. Meyer and Streeker of Bertha Mayer.

Bob was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Columbkil, which greatly appreciates work and public work. After being ordained on June 25, 1983, he served as a volunteer and Capelan at the Clinton Memorial Hospital for many years. A US Navy veteran, he withdrew from AT&T after 35 years of service. He was a loving and supportive father of his family.

His loving wife Barbara A. Mayer, whom he married on October 17, 1964, two daughters, Michele (Victor) Lobiondo, Christina (James) Kilgor and 2 grandchildren, Christian and Cameron, survived.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded by death by two brothers, Norman and Richard Meyer.

The mass of the Christian funeral will be observed in the Catholic Church of St. Colombil on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 10:30 am with Reverend Tom Manebach as a holiday. The interment will follow in the memory gardens of Clinton County, where the Honorary guardian of the American Legion Wilmington will hold full military honors.

Friends will be received at the Fisher -Edgington Funeral House, located at 97 Wilmington Street, February 6, 2025 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Prayers will be held at 6:30
