The Glendale Police Department said 1,000 people were present. Although the protest began calmly, the demonstrations grew after the sun went down.

Participants were seen to block the lane and leave fireworks.

Both Phoenix and the Glendale police watched the gathering near the 67th Avenue and Camilbek Road in Glendale throughout the day on Sunday.

According to police in Glendale, five marked patrol vehicles were damaged at night. The damage included broken windows, broken windows, cut tires and damaged body panels.
