Welcome to Port City Foodies’s weekly newsletter, brought by me, Starnews reporter Alison Ballard. Wilmington’s food scene has been receiving more attention in recent years – but I still believe he doesn’t get his fair share, given the great restaurants you can find here. So, of course, with enthusiasm I recommended some of my favorite for the USA Today restaurant project. And, well, one made the list. Look from below.

Plus, since we have so many great eating establishments, here’s a look at some (some) of those restaurants I would like to make and the list from mana to Sandsper.

Otherwise, Food News this week was for the new and which is closed. One of the popular, long -standing restaurants in the area closed after decades in business. Many people are sad and surprised that Sweet N Savory Cafe is no longer.
Meanwhile, the area has a new Indian restaurant that promises to bring authentic scents to University Commons. And although it is a small way, Southport has a new place for pizza in the work of local entrepreneurs. They plan a place to take off, serving New Haven and Neapolitan slices and pies.
