Renault, Nev. (February 18, 2025) – The Reno Rodeo Flag team has already accepted applications for the 2025 season. This elite group of skilled horsemen plays a vital role in the Reno Rodeo competition and tradition, presenting sponsored flags with precision and enthusiasm before the crowds of crowds every night. Riders seeking a unique opportunity to show their horse mastery in one of the best born in the country are encouraged to apply until March 1.
The Reno Rodeo Flag team is made up of dedicated horse women who illustrate the strong riding ability, teamwork and a deep passion for Rodeo. Applicants must be at least 14 years old until April 13 and have access to a well-trained, experienced horse, comfortable with loud noises, fast environments and proximity to other horses. The previous rodeo experience or wearing a flag is useful but not required.
The trials for the flag team 2025 will be held on Sunday, April 13, at the Reno-Spark Livestock Center. Applicants will be evaluated on horses, controls and ability to carry and present a flag at speed. Riders have to bring their own horse, fee and appropriate riding clothing.
The elected will represent Reno Rodeo throughout the ten -day event held on June 19 to June 28, and may also be able to participate in community events and promotional events leading to Rodeo.
