By james art RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) – Reno police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened early Sunday morning in northwest Reno.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired shortly after 3 a.m. Oct. 27 in the area of the 7000 block of Mae Anne Ave. and found an elderly male victim with a gunshot wound. The victim died on the spot.
The Reno Police Department’s Robbery and Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation. The suspect remains at large and detectives believe the incident is isolated and there is no threat to the public.
Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity pending notification from the Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
