RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) – A Reno man was sentenced to five years in prison followed by three years of supervised release for the 2023 attack on three teenagers on the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony Reservation.
According to court documents, on Sept. 2, 2023, Roy Ramirez, 25, pistol-whipped a teenager in the face, hit a second teenager in the head with a gun and pointed the weapon at a third teenager. Authorities say the second teenager is a 13-year-old who suffered multiple life-threatening injuries.
Ramirez was on state parole at the time of the attack.
Ramirez pleaded guilty to one count of assault with a dangerous weapon in Indian country and one count of assault resulting in serious bodily injury in Indian country.
